Earlier this week, Merrin and I were fortunate enough to have Ellie (our next door neighbor) stay with us for a few hours. I was very excited to have these two delightful girls at our house together and thought it might just bring me a glimpse into the future. Ellie and Merrin are around 19 months apart and once our little peanut arrives, Merrin and baby Gunter will be roughly 22 months apart. Merrin and Ellie had a great time playing together. They shared breakfast together which consisted of blueberry waffles and bananas on the side. Next they played with their matching baby strollers and then we ventured outside for some sidewalk chalk and a quick spin in the wagon.

Watching Merrin and Ellie play together made me wonder if this is what it will be like in a year or two when our little one will be old enough to play with his/her big sister. I know Merrin is going to LOVE being a big sister, she is so nurturing and kind of a little mama herself. When Merrin was under a year old, a wonderful lady named Sonny kept Merrin along with 4 other babies. Merrin was the oldest for the better part of her first year and Sonny nicknamed her "Nana" because Merrin always wanted to "mother" the other babies.
We are so fortunate to have Ellie and her parents as our neighbors. We love you guys!
