I'm a little late on posting this but HAPPY SEVEN MONTHS little buddy! Our little man turned seven months old last week and boy has he transformed into a new baby! Keith and I both were talking about how we feel that Elliott really is "coming into his own" and developing quite a little personality. The child is literally eating us out of house and home! I started out with high hopes of making Elliott's baby food but that kind of fell by the waste side after making a run of peaches but now I think I might have to go back to the original plan as I'm sure its way cheaper!! I'm not used to having a child that eats because I feel like I've accomplished something if Merrin eats half of a pimento cheese sandwich (of course it doesn't help that I let her snack way more than she should during the day). Elliott also has started crawling which I think Merrin did around seven/eight months as well but for some reason it just seems too early for Elliott to be "on the move", isn't he still my newborn baby?? Where did these past seven months go?? I don't think I'm ready for TWO mobile munchkins around the house. Elliott also loves to "yell" (kind of like a loud, rough squeal) which we think is his way of trying to talk to us but it has become a very fun game for him. He can be in the den playing and if he sees me in the kitchen he will yell to get my attention so I'll look at him and yell back and then we go back and forth yelling at each other until he starts laughing. Its very cute, I'll have to try and capture it on video. Aside from yelling, his vocabulary consists of "da-da-da" and "mm-ma" but probably only his adoring parents can pick up on it. Some of you might remember the video of Mayzi and Merrin playing tug of war and yesterday Mayzi tried to get Elliott to try and of course my camera was no where to be found. I do think we have a very active little boy on our hands and this worries me a little. We hardly had to baby proof the house when Merrin started crawling/walking because she usually always wanted to be wherever I was and didn't get into much but already at a young age I am discovering what my friends always told me about how little girls and boys are so very different. They weren't kidding!! I will leave you all with a few pics of our seven month old as well as a video of our little man "on the move"!

After about six days without Keith he finally joined us on the Thursday before Labor Day and we ended our beach trip with a bang! On Friday Keith's family headed back home and we were joined by our neighbors (and friends) Eric & Blair along with their two girls Ellie(4) & Maggie(9 mos) as well as Brad & Tammy along with their little bambino still in the oven! We had the best time celebrating Labor Day with our friends and neighbors. Ellie and Merrin thoroughly enjoyed burying themselves on the beach and especially riding the golf cart! Elliott and Maggie were just happy to be anywhere, they really are the best little babies! We all hope that this will only turn into an annual event! We are fortunate to have such wonderful family, neighbors and friends!
