Join the club
Well, I've officially joined the "club" albeit not a club I wanted to be a part of but I'm happy to be in it none the less. So this is what 30 looks like? Lets just say I hope I'm 40 lbs lighter by my 31st (and not pregnant)!!!
My sweet hubby gave me the prettiest tulips (which happen to be my favorite and he gets them for me every year!) as well as a night out on the town and a huge ice cream cake, isn't he the best??!! I love you Bebe!

Merrin's make over
Merrin had her first official haircut this past Monday. Of course probably only her own mother could tell anything was cut off but it was a haircut none the less! We definitely documented the occasion by taking an enormous amount of pictures. Here are a few of them...
Merrin "before"
Merrin "after"
Here are a few pics during the actual haircut...Merrin enjoyed the sucker more than anything!
Merrin's Mamaw and Great Aunt Della came along for moral support (not so much for Merrin but for me of course)!

Merrin with her baby brother
Keith snapped some pictures of Merrin and me after church today. We'd still like to take a few more but here are a few that Keith captured. Merrin LOVES giving baby brother kisses, lets hope she'll still want to once baby brother is out of mommy's tummy! It won't be long...

What 15 days can do...
Thanks to our AMAZING contractor, our house is almost finished. We still have a few projects underway but nothing major and nothing to keep us from bringing home our baby boy!!! Although the pictures don't do our "floor over" justice, here are some before and after pics...and to think, this was all done in only 15 business days! We still have some decorating and organizing to do but this will certainly work for now!

The Greatest Show on Earth
I am a believer! Ringling Brothers, Barnum & Bailey Circus truly IS the greatest show on Earth!
I know this may be hard to believe but despite the fact that I am dangerously close to leaving my 20's and entering unknown territory, I have NEVER been to the circus but yet here Merrin is at 22 months old experiencing her first circus experience! Keith's work had tickets for this past weekend's show and although I doubt I would have paid for tickets considering Merrin's age, we would have REALLY missed out had we not gone! Merrin absolutely LOVED it! We told her before her nap on Saturday that when she woke up we would go see some "animals" at the circus and I think we even threw in a "lions, tigers & bears, oh my"! So...when Merrin woke up from her nap all she could talk about was ANIMALS! She asked for them the whole way on the car ride there. When we got there she was in awe of all that was around her and contently sat on Keith's lap watching with this little face full of wonder. Once she had been there a little while she started yelling when the crowd yelled and clapping with everyone else clapped, it was so cute. I am glad that Merrin enjoyed herself. She also experienced her very first taste of popcorn and couldn't get enough of it! She kept asking for the "animals" yesterday so we told her that we would have to go see them again next year. I highly recommend going if you've never been. It was truly amazing seeing the elephants and all they could do as well as the acrobats and the frisbee catching dogs!
