The Zoo

A few weeks ago my mom, Merrin, Elliott and I traveled to visit my sister and nephews. While we were there we felt a little ambitious and all went to the zoo. My sister also invited her neighbor who brought along a little boy that she keeps so all in all we had six little spectators, four adults and oh about a million strollers! We had a great time and rest assured no animals were harmed in the making of the following pictures ;)

During our visit we also made time for an at home photo session which poor Ben and Elliott had to suffer through...they were too cute in their matching outfits to resist! Since you can't hear their thoughts, I'll do my best at commentating.
"just smile man, the sooner you do it the sooner this will be over"

"a one anda two anda three...watch me bro, I'm working on my six pack"

"dude...be very still and maybe she'll go away" "hey man, don't eat my arm!!"

5 Months Old

Mr. Elliott is 5 months old today!! Elliott is growing by leaps and bounds. He weighs over 15 pounds now and is ridiculously long...I think he's going to be a tall one like his uncles who both are 6'4. Elliott can roll from his stomach to back as well as back to stomach. If you lay him on the floor he will roll over multiple times in a row like he is trying to get from one side of the room to the other. He sits with some assistance but not entirely on his own yet. Elliott's biggest challenge these days is pooping although you wouldn't know it from how he acts, it certainly doesn't seem to bother him but the poor little fellow will go 7-10 days without a good poop (excuse the potty talk). Per the pediatric gastroenterologist we have started some rice cereal this past week in hopes that we can move quickly to more solid foods (like the high fiber fruits) so that he will have an easier time going "potty". Mr. Elliott continues to be an absolute delightful baby. He is happy just about all of the time and still seems to look at his big sister with adoring ga-ga eyes as if he is completely in love with her. It is so much fun watching Merrin "teach" him things. The other day she was trying to teach him to talk by saying "ma-ma" and "da-da" stretched out in multiple syllables, obviously she has watched us do this but it was cute seeing it come from her. Here are a few pics of our little heart breaker... Hey Mom, you got some food?
Just Chillin'...
