Sugar and Spice

...and everything nice, that's what little girls are made of! Merrin saw that my toenails were freshly painted from when I was in my friend's, Rachel, wedding so all she wanted was for her to have pink nails like mommy so I painted her nails for the very first time this past week and she loved it. Aren't little girls the cutest thing! I can't believe once upon a time I thought I only wanted to have boys...probably because I didn't want to have a teenage girl like me...but God truly gives you what you are meant to have and I am so thankful to have Merrin. She is so much fun these days (well...most days she is fun...there are a few days where I want to run out the door screaming and never return!). I can't think of any little girl that doesn't like to dance and Merrin definitely loves to dance. Recently she learned that you can play music on the TV so now she'll bring me the remote and ask to "dance". We'll flip through the music channels until she finds a song she likes and then she'll bust a few moves before wanting to find another song. We were lucky enough to be handed down a few dance items from a friend at church and although the ballet and tap shoes were already too small for my poor child's big feet, the princess leotard fits great and every once and a while Merrin pulls it out of her drawer and wants to put it on. We passed on the ballet shoes to our niece, Miss Emory, as she will soon be starting her dance lessons. GO EMMY! We can't wait to see her in action!!Here is a video of Merrin dancing in her leotard to "you've got the best of my love".
