Giraffes and train rides!
Merrin and I were fortunate enough to recently visit the Columbia Zoo in South Carolina thanks to my good friend, Jill, who lives down the street. Jill has a son named Noah who was born just two short weeks after Merrin. Jill has an annual pass and she happened to have an extra one so we all got to go for FREE (kids under 2 are free)! We had the best time! Merrin and Noah have a lot of fun together and now Noah's family is even attending our church so these two kiddos see even more of each other. If anyone hasn't been to the Columbia zoo yet, I highly recommend it. It is a fairly small zoo so you can see a lot in a short period of time. We drove up early in the morning and left by lunch time so we could get these kids home for their nap. Here are a few pics of Merrin and I feeding the giraffes (which of course Merrin wasn't too sure about) as well as pics of us riding a train and other interesting creatures.

Looks like so much fun!! I will have to take Nolan there in the Spring!
Looks like you guys had a great time. The Asheboro zoo is super nice as well...it's a lot more spread out though. Probably better for older kids.
