Fall Blessings

Fall is definitely around us!! What a blessing to live in a part of the world where you can experience four magnificent seasons. I think Fall is my favorite...but then again I think they are all my favorites because it seems like you are always ready to enter into the next season when the time comes. There is just something about this time of year though that gives me that "warm & fuzzy" feeling. There is so much to be thankful for and often times I feel so unworthy of God's blessings. Don't get me wrong...I don't always stop and count my blessings! In fact, yesterday morning I thought I was having a break down and called Keith crying. It was just one of those mornings but sometimes I think God gives me moments like those so that I can stop and focus on him. Recently I attended our church's women's bible study and the topic was all about God's mercy and our worthiness of receiving it. Most of all the women around me felt the same way...UNworthy! There are times where I get so caught up in trying to be the perfect mom to Merrin, trying to keep the perfect house and sadly, trying to be the perfect wife falls to the bottom of the list. I think my priorities are backwards but what I'm trying to say is that I get so stressed about doing day to day tasks that I sometimes forget what God has planned for me. I'm looking forward to an upcoming all women's retreat, titled "A Wellspring Within", at our church and if any of you are interested you can go to the website or contact me for more information. I think its going to be an inspiring weekend full of praise, worship and not to mention fellowship with some amazing women!

God has truly blessed our family lately and again that unworthiness feeling tries to creep in...but recently Merrin had her 18 month check up and I am happy to report that she is 100% HEALTHY!! What a blessing!! She is in the 75% for height and the 50% for weight. I also am feeling this baby boy daily in my tummy and it brings back so many memories of being pregnant with Merrin only the difference is that this time I know what a precious gift we are about to receive. And...I'm happy to report that Keith and I are coming close to settling on a name for this little guy although we are still open for suggestions so keep them coming!

Oh...one more thing...if any of you out there have not seen the movie FIREPROOF then I highly encourage you to go. Can I just say that I am IN LOVE with this movie and all that it stands for?!!! It was the best movie that Keith and I have seen in a very long time. If our society made more movies like this one...can you imagine what kind of world we could be living in? Check out their website AND...if any of you want to go and enjoy this movie with your spouse but have no childcare, I offer free babysitting! Fortunately my parents offered to keep Merrin so that Keith and I could go and it was the best date night we've had in a long time!
